Does the other side know?
Shortlisted makes no sound and never joins the call. It reads the audio your Mac is already playing. Whether to mention it is your call, and the rules differ by employer and jurisdiction — some assessments explicitly forbid assistance.
Is my microphone sent anywhere?
No. Your own voice is transcribed on-device using macOS speech recognition. Only the meeting audio is used to generate an answer.
What happens when I run out of minutes?
You are warned at five minutes and again at one, then the session stops. Topping up takes about a minute and the app picks the new balance up on its own.
Do minutes expire?
Twelve months from purchase. Subscription hours reset monthly and do not roll over.
