Getting started

From download to first answer takes about five minutes, most of it granting macOS permissions.

Requirements

MacApple silicon (M1 or later)
macOS15 or later
Meeting appAnything — Teams, Zoom, Meet, a phone call on speaker

1. Install

Download the app, drag it to Applications, and open it. The first launch is signed and notarised by Apple, so it opens without warnings.

2. Sign in

Enter your email in Settings ▸ Account. We send a six-digit code — there's no password to remember or lose. Your first sign-in includes 10 free minutes.

3. Grant three permissions

macOS asks for each one the first time it's needed. All three are required for the app to hear anything:

MicrophoneTo hear you, for the transcript of your own answers
Screen & System Audio RecordingTo hear the meeting. Despite the name, no screen is captured — this is the permission macOS uses for system audio
Speech RecognitionOptional. Transcribes your answers on-device
If a permission gets stuck, quit the app, tick it off and on again in System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security, then reopen. macOS caches permission state per app, and it occasionally needs the nudge. See troubleshooting.

4. Load your context

Click Context and load your CV (PDF, Markdown or plain text). Then click the briefcase and paste the job description, plus the names and titles of who's interviewing you. This is what makes the answers yours rather than generic. More on context →

5. Press Start

Start the session before the call connects. The window floats above everything, so put it where your eyes naturally rest — beside the video, not below it.

Practise once first. Run a session while watching an interview video on YouTube. It costs a few minutes of credit and tells you where to put the window, what size the text should be, and how the timing feels — none of which you want to be working out during a real interview.

What it costs you in minutes

Minutes tick while a session runs, regardless of how many questions are asked. A 45-minute interview costs 45 minutes. The remaining balance is shown in the toolbar, and you're warned at five minutes and at one.
