Transcripts & recordings
Every session writes its own record to ~/Documents/MeetingRecordings. None of
it is uploaded anywhere.
What gets written
*.transcript.md | The questions, the drafted answers and your own replies, with timestamps |

Turning recording off
Untick Save .wav in the toolbar. Transcripts are still written — and note that in most jurisdictions a transcript of a private conversation is treated much like a recording, so this isn't a way around consent rules. See recording & consent.
If the app quits unexpectedly
Recordings are written continuously and the file header is refreshed every couple of seconds, so a crash or force-quit costs you the last second or two, not the whole file.
Transcribing an old recording
File ▸ Transcribe Recording… (⌘O) turns any saved .wav into a
speaker-labelled transcript, using macOS's on-device recogniser. The audio doesn't leave
your Mac, and it costs no minutes.
Housekeeping
Nothing is deleted automatically — an hour of stereo audio is around 650 MB, so it's worth clearing out old sessions occasionally. Deleting the files is enough; there's no copy anywhere else.
